New Venture

This is a random post.

A while back I mentioned that I might try a new venture.  I took the plunge, and became a consultant for Kitcheneez.  My family has been my "Guinea Pigs".   Even if I'm not successful with this venture, we can eat up the products. LOL!

Taco Soup: A Favorite
Kitcheneez is a division of Lisa Shively's Kitchen Helpers.  Lisa has been a good friend for a long time. I met her when her oldest son was in 2nd grade.  He just graduated from college.  Her talent for  making great dishes amazes me.  She has published several cookbooks, and I have almost every one.  It's hard to say which one is my favorite. She decided to start making and distributing her own mixes and seasonings about a year and a half ago.

A few years ago, Lisa donated a cookbook (Beginner's Cookbook) to each student in my 1st grade classroom.  Before presenting the cookbook to the students, we used our math and reading skills to make the Sand Art Brownies for our Parents' Christmas gifts.  The students were thrilled when they saw the recipe was in the cookbook.  It was the perfect gift for 1st graders, because there are several recipes that do not involve using a stove.
Book Signing (1st Grade Style)
The students made Thank-you cards, and Lisa read each card before signing their cookbook.  I just love her.  Her son came with her, and took pictures.  It was the first time I had seen him since he was second grade.  My "baby" in the picture is a fifth grader now.

Best-selling Cookbook

Award-winning Dip Mix
The Fat Little Crockin' Cookbook is the best-selling cookbook.  The Mexican Mambo Mix 'n Dip has won awards, and is my favorite dip.  I have tried several recipes from the Fat Little Crockin' Cookbook and the mixes and seasonings.  Most of the products are all natural and gluten-free.

Wish me luck with this new venture.  I have to pay for grad school. :o
